It is a platform that will include projects of various ministries of the Central Government, including major projects such as Bharat mala, Sagar mala, Udan, railway infrastructure expansion, inland waterways and Bharat Net. Similarly, the infrastructure schemes of the state governments are also expected to be included.
The central government has set a target of investing around Rs 100 lakh crore. This will connect two defense corridors, including more than 1,200 industrial clusters across the country. In his August 15 address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for Rs 100 lakh crore to be invested in the country's infrastructure development.
